Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned industry figure died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
