The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t unfold until the third season, and a adored, popular member has just been cast.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and cartoon version.
The new cast member joins several other fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, including chief Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though the role is a major member of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Given the second season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
