Loyal supporters of the pop star are calling for that a man who leaped a barrier and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway flanked by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents showed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more response on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised guards at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
