Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Local officials said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were injured.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
