Building On Earlier Errors

The new release follows the release of the futuristic Battlefield 2042, released previously to a poor reception it found it hard to recover from.

"We most likely would find it impossible to make and develop the latest entry absent the insights we gained in Battlefield 2042," the manager tells us.

One of those takeaways was to get the community participating soon, and the studio started invite-only community testing sessions earlier this year.

Their "feedback was extremely favorable," states the manager.

A further missing ingredient from the last game was a solo experience, which has been restored this time around.

The Guildford team creative lead Fas Salim is the person in charge of "ensuring those levels are as entertaining and interesting as can be for the gamers."

In spite of reports that the size of the game had challenged the multiple developers partnering globally to build the title, Fas is positive about the work.

"Working with varied perspectives, different heritages, it's a very engaging environment to be engaged with daily," he says.

"This entire method has been an innovation but something truly inspiring because we are working with individuals from around the globe."

As for the pressure on the crew, the director states: "We experience stress but additionally it's thrilling.

"This is a major project. It's likely the biggest that most of us have before worked on."

Young Talent Contributes Innovative Insight

This is definitely true of at least an individual staff, VFX specialist Vlad.

The recent hire makes the atmospheric effects that define the tone, feel, and direction of the single-player campaign.
